Kill The Bill
The Kill the Bill movement is a grassroots campaign that emerged in response to proposed legislation aimed at increasing police powers and restricting the right to protest in the United Kingdom. The movement argues that the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill threatens civil liberties and disproportionately targets marginalized communities. Activists and protestors have mobilized across the country, organizing demonstrations and calling for the bill's withdrawal. The movement highlights concerns regarding the erosion of freedom of expression and assembly, as well as the potential for increased police surveillance and abuse of power. It seeks to protect democratic rights and ensure that the proposed legislation does not become law.
